Congratulations to six of our singers who participated in the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) district solo & ensemble festival in January. Maddie Agrusso, Alecia Slowinski, Justin Cabrera, Silvia Trivelloni, Kennedy Cerne, and Regan Weir all received Division 1 ratings – the highest rating students can receive at the festival. They performed two selections in English and Italian from memory in front of a judge and received comments and real-time feedback. Their rating qualifies them to participate at the state solo & ensemble festival in April. Congratulations again, we're so proud of you!

Today is the last day to get a candygram. The form will only be open until 3PM today and then it will close. We have extended the collection to Monday due to the day off yesterday. If you have submitted the form and not paid you will get an email from Miss Hughes at 3PM. Please consider supporting NHS by sending your classmates and friends a candy. Thanks to all who have supported!

Here is your weekly announcement from the Mental Health Team: With devices so readily available, it's not hard to become obsessed with them. However, as fun as devices can be, too much attachment can be detrimental. Using devices too much can shorten your attention span and reduce motivation. It's important to devote more time connecting to others and ourselves in real life through our relationships and healthy hobbies!

Mark your calendar for our next Mental Health Club meeting on Tuesday, February 25th after school in Mr. Swift's room. See you then!
