Have you ever wanted to explore outer space? Time travel? What about having superpowers and a sidekick? Well now you can, through the awesome power of imagination!! Foley's Creative Writing Club is back and better than ever! We will meet September 20th to discuss the club, share our interests, and get writing! We hope to see our members from last year and new faces! 3:00 in Room 237, Ms. Fares room.

It's Homecoming Time! Student Council is working hard to put together an amazing week for you. We have finalized the Spirit Day Dress Down Themes. Just a friendly reminder that in order to dress down, your apparel must fit the theme of that day and it must be visible ALL DAY! That means not putting on a sweatshirt over your items unless it fits the theme. **YOU MUST BE IN UNIFORM IF YOU ARE NOT DRESSED IN THE THEME. The class that has the most participation for the week will earn 35 spirit points! This year's themes are:

- Monday : Soccer Mom vs. Barbeque Dad

- Tuesday : 90s Sitcom / Cartoons

- Wednesday : Wild Western

- Thursday : Decade ** Seniors are 80s, Juniors - 70s, Sophomores - 60s and Freshmen - 50s ** Don't forget to take a picture in your class to match your decade.

- Friday : Black Out Please keep a look out for emails from your class President or Ms. Jagow for more information regarding Homecoming Week Events!

Homecoming Guest Dance forms are available in the Main Office. They are due by Wednesday, October 4th by 3:00pm. No Exceptions!

Looking for service hours? Help out at St. Anne's Sausage Fest this weekend! Contact Mrs. Baumgartner to sign up to assist with games, face painting, etc.

Do you feel frustrated getting started on homework? Did you understand how to do the work in class, but once you get home, have questions on how to complete the assignment? If you answered yes, then NHS homework help is here to resolve your problem! Starting Thursday, September 21st, NHS students will be available in Lab 4 of the Media Center from 2:55-3:30 pm to help out with homework. All classes, including French, Spanish, math, science, just to name a few, will have someone there to help you out. Take advantage of this free service. No need to preregister, just stop in and we'll match you up with someone who can help you make homework less challenging. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Attention Juniors and Seniors: An Admission rep from Aquinas College will be visiting BFC on Friday, September 22nd during 1st hour. Email Ms. Hursin to sign-up, if you are interested!

The BFC Book Club meeting, scheduled for this afternoon, has been postponed to NEXT Wednesday, September 27th, at 2:55 PM. in Lab 4 of the Media Center. We will be discussing "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. All are welcome to attend.

Craft club will meet tomorrow, Thursday the 21st in the media center at 3:00pm. All levels of crafters are welcome!

Mental Health Announcement:

Our mental health focus this week is self-care. Self-care is important. Making time for yourself helps one stay away from burnout and clears up stress. To highlight the importance of mental health, join us on the track on Wednesday, October 11 after the 1:15 dismissal. We’ll be gathering together to Walk for Mental Health and raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Save the date and stay tuned for more information.
